Child Grant Application Procedure
Follow the procedure for the submission of your Child Grant Application;
- Log in to your SASSA account with your username and password. If you didn’t have a SASSA, then first register yourself and then log in. Remember, your ID Number is your username.
- You see “Social Grant Option” on your account dashboard. From the list, choose your relevant Grant like “Foster Child Grant” or “Child Care Grant”. Be careful while choosing your grant.
- Now “Grant Application Form” is open in front of you. Carefully fill in all the required fields and avoid mistakes.
- Now, generate your affidavit by clicking the “Print Form” button. This affidavit contains the SASSA monograph that indicates its originality. Now take it and attest it from your oath commissioner.
- Now, take your “Bank Payment Form” and fill it out correctly. Then submit your affidavit and bank payment form together.

What Happens After I Apply?
After successfully applying for the SASSA Child Grant, your application is being processed. And you receive an application submission receipt from the SASSA. Application processing takes 3 months. If your application is approved, then you receive your SASSA payment card or your payment is transferred to your bank account.
