Position Overview

  • Job Title: General Manager: Corporate Services (Re-advertisement)

  • Nature of Position: Permanent

  • Salary Package: R 1,494,900 – R 1,787,328 per annum (inclusive of benefits)

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • A relevant qualification at NQF Level 7 (as recognized by SAQA) in one of the following fields: Commerce, Human Sciences, Social Work, Legal, Communication, Property or Facilities Management, or Built Environment.

  • A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience at a Senior Managerial level in Corporate Services.

  • A valid driver’s license and computer literacy are mandatory.

  • Professional and functional knowledge in corporate services.

  • Strong planning, organizing, and project management abilities.

  • Strategic thinking and policy analysis.

  • Staff management and leadership.

  • Facilities and auxiliary support management.

Key Performance Areas

The General Manager: Corporate Services will be responsible for:

  • Managing Human Capital Management Services in the region.

  • Overseeing the provision of Legal Services.

  • Directing Facilities Management and Auxiliary Support Services.

  • Supervising Communication Services.

  • Managing ICT Services within the region.

  • Providing overall leadership and strategic direction.

  • Ensuring optimal utilization of resources and staff.

Important Note on SMS Pre-entry Certificate

All applicants must comply with the Senior Management Services (SMS) requirements, which include:

  • Successful completion of the SMS Pre-entry Programme (Nyukela) as endorsed by the National School of Government (NSG).

  • Proof of registration and completion of the course prior to appointment.

  • The course is self-funded and available under the name Certificate for entry into SMS.
